I had been under the vague impression that The Prisoner was happening around 1905ish. I have no idea where I got that number. Maybe I thought it would line up better with the life and times of Samantha Parkington. But Tempsperdu dates this section of the novel at 1900-1902. This changes little for my imaginings. I can’t tell the difference between 1902 and 1904. But it will help me find Fortuny dresses created that year, so we can make our little Albertine paperdolls in our minds, yes.
